Children’s Residential Options

A significant portion of what we do is provide residential supports.

Community Homes

We have residential  supports for children with developmental disabilities living in Durham Region.

Supports focus on assisting people to live full and complete lives within their community and achieving goals around personal, domestic, community integration and inclusion within a person’s community.  We aim to ensure that people supported experience quality of life that they want and deserve as citizens of Durham.

Our main focus is the overall well being of each person, which includes their mental, physical and spiritual needs.

Associate Living

Associate Living is another residential option that matches a person to live with a roommate, couple or family.

Both adults and children can take advantage of this type of residential support.

Associate Living arrangements provide the opportunity for people to participate in both home and community life.

•People can be part of a family or live with someone wanting to share their time, skills and home

•People can have the benefit of further independence and still have the security of caring support close at hand

•People direct how they want to be supported

•People decide where and with whom to live with

•People have the chance to increase their community participation that can help you to get truly connected

Children’s associate placements are licensed with the Ministry of Community and Social Services
