Community Living Oshawa/Clarington offers a range of residential services that foster choice, self determination, citizenship and respect.

 

Supported Independent Living

Supported Independent Living (SIL) service is available to adults who live independently however require supports with some aspects of everyday living such as budgeting, banking, meal planning, medical appointments and recreational/leisure activities. The amount of support required is determined on an individualized basis.

SIL is available to adults who live in their own houses/apartments; people can live on their own or with a roommate.  Employees assist the person with daily living skills such as cooking, meal planning, budgeting, banking, medical appointments and recreational/leisure activities.

 

Host Family Living

This residential option service provides opportunities for children and adults to live in a family setting or a supportive roommate environment. Host families become a member of an extended family network committed to supporting the person.

 

Group Living

This service is available for adults who may wish to live with others and accommodates people based on ability and support needs.
