POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Manager, Finance, this position assists with accounts receivable, accounts payable, month-end reporting and year-end preparation.

 

To ensure accounts receivable/accounts payable are processed in a timely manner, in compliance with accepted principles, practices and to increase the capacity of CLOC to facilitate outcomes.

 

Core Competencies: Communication, Customer Service, Interpersonal Relations and Respect and Results Orientation

Areas of Responsibilities: Invoicing, billing, fee for service, accounts receivables, collections, record keeping, reconciliations, accounts payable

Education and Experience:

  • Preferably the incumbent will have a secondary education in accounting through an academic institution that is registered and regulated by the Ministry of Education.
  • A minimum of five years financial experience in a fast paced, medium to large office environment.
  • Proficiency of Microsoft programs including Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint and various Social Media platforms.
  • Excellent organizational, time management and problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Demonstrates assertiveness, poise, tact, and patience in interacting with others.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

 Other:

  • Valid Ontario G Driver’s License
  • Police Record Check including the vulnerable sector

DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONALS

The primary responsibility of all CLOC employees is ensuring personal and organizational outcomes are achieved. This is achieved by providing supports to people with intellectual disabilities to achieve their personal goals, facilitating relationships, skills, and roles, which promote people’s effective participation in the typical and valued life of the community

Salary: Part Time…. $25.05 – $25.70 per hour + 8.5% in lieu of benefits, $0.40/hr weekend premium and standard vacation pay

Full Time……$27.77 – $28.14 per hours + 3 weeks vacation & health benefits

Areas of Responsibilities:

  • Provides respectful services and support to people with intellectual disabilities
  • Utilizes Personal Outcome Measures to assist people in the achievement of Outcomes
  • Performs all duties and responsibilities in a professional manner
  • Demonstrates a professional attitude
  • Supports people with all aspects of daily living in their home and community

Conditions of employment: to be provided at time of hire

  • Valid Ontario G Driver’s license
  • 3 year uncertified Driver’s Abstract – from Service Ontario
  • Vulnerable Service Sector search within the last 6 months – cannot work onsite without
  • Standard FA/CPR
  • Annual health check

Shifts include:

Every other weekend 7am-3/3-11pm rotation; evenings (3-11pm), overnights (11pm-9am), day support (anywhere from 6am-3pm) and statutory holidays.

Training Provided:

Safe Management, Medication Administration, Fire Safely, Abuse and Professional Boundaries, WHMIS
